Hours, Location & Turnaround Times

Our hours of operation

We operate nominal hours of 10am to 7pm weekdays and 11am to 5pm Saturdays.

If the job is urgent we are happy and able to accommodate you out of hours. However even during official business hours please always schedule an appointment to come by for pick up, or drop off, or to discus work as unfortunately it's rarely convenient to accommodate drop ins.

Location

Skink Ink is located in New York City, Brooklyn to be precise. Close by the galleries in Williamsburg and very convenient for the large artist communities of Greenpoint and Bushwick. We're also just over the Williamsburg bridge from the newest gallery district around the New Museum and the Lower East Side.

We're a short subway ride on the J M Z trains over the bridge from Manhattan to Marcy Avenue or from Union Square on the L to Bedford Avenue. You can find us on google maps here. There is plenty of convenient parking nearby or under the Williamsburg bridge.

Turnaround times

We can turnaround a print in just a few hours if need be. However we usually ask for 24 to 48 hours as this will allow a proofing process and give you the client the time to approve a proof before we go ahead with the final print. While we will always inform you of any issues we see with the print if you ask us to print without a proof you will be expected to accept and pay for the print even if it is not as you desired.

If you wish to use a paper we keep in stock then there is usually no problem with 24-48 hour turnaround. However for special paper or large orders we ask that you give us lead in time so that we can order the paper and have it here ready for when your final artwork files arrive. This can take upto a week and extra shipping charges may be incurred for faster deliver from our suppliers. Despite the above less than 24 hours is considered a 'rush' job. While we dont charge 'rush' fees we will not offer the usual quantity discounts for a job that is done as a rush.
