Scanning and Image Capture

Flatbed Scanning

We have a 2400 dpi, large-format flatbed scanner. With the Epson Expression 10000XL we can offer high-quality scanning of artwork up to 12" x 17" in size. For even larger works it is possible to scan in sections and recreate the image in Photoshop.

Each flatbed scan costs $20 for upto 8" x 10", $30 for 11" x 17". Images that require scanning in sections will require multiple 11" x 17" scans and photoshop time so please ask for a quote. Discounts are available for higher quantities. All scans are RGB, minimum 300dpi @ 100% are color corrected and guaranteed to proof.

Transparency Scanning

For transparency scanning we use an Imacon Flextight Scanner, with a maximum resolution of 6300 dpi it's seen as a good alternative to conventional drum scans with the advantage that it doesn't require oil (wet) mounting of the transparencies.

Imacon scans are a maximum size of 4" x 5". Prices are $35 for a 35mm and $50.00 for a 4" x 5". Discounts are offered for higher quantities. All scans are RGB, minimum 300dpi @ 8" x 10" are color corrected and guaranteed to proof.

Photography

We offer professional digital photographic services to capture larger works on site at your studio. We will send a photographer with a digital camera, portable lighting and a lifetime of experience to make digital files of your artwork. This is best for delicate, messy or oversized works and for the convenience of not needing to transport your artwork.

Prices for photography are: $150 for the first image (includes, travel, set up, shooting and file prep) and $50 for each subsequent image. For larger orders discounts can be applicable.
